She is six years old. She has Down syndrome. And she has never once doubted that she will become a dentist.
Jood Ibrahim walks through the world with a certainty that most adults spend their whole lives searching for. Her dream is precise, unwavering, completely her own — to wear the white coat, sit beside the chair, and care for people’s smiles.
We partnered with 32 Clinic to give Jood her day. She arrived suited up, gloves on, ready. The real dentists welcomed her as one of their own, guiding her gently through the procedures, letting her lead where she could.
Watching Jood in that clinic, there was no moment of make-believe. She was thorough. She was gentle. She was, in every sense of the word, a doctor.
Children like Jood don’t need our inspiration — they carry more than enough of their own. What they need is for someone to take their dreams as seriously as they do. On this day, we did.

تمشي جود إبراهيم في الدنيا بيقين لا يتزعزع — يقين يقضي كثيرون من البالغين حياتهم بحثًا عنه. حلمها واضح، ثابت، خالص لها وحدها: أن ترتدي المعطف الأبيض، وتجلس بجانب كرسي الفحص، وتعتني بابتسامات الناس.
تعاونّا مع عيادة 32 لمنح جود يومها. جاءت بزيّها الطبي، بقفازاتها، جاهزة تمامًا. استقبلها الأطباء الحقيقيون كواحدة منهم، أرشدوها بلطف في كل خطوة، وأتاحوا لها أن تقود حين استطاعت.
وأنت تراقب جود في تلك العيادة، لم تكن ثمة لحظة واحدة للتظاهر. كانت دقيقة. كانت رفيقة. كانت، بكل معنى الكلمة، طبيبة.
أطفال كجود لا يحتاجون إلهامنا — فهم يحملون من الإلهام ما يكفيهم. ما يحتاجونه هو أن يأخذ شخص ما أحلامهم بنفس الجدية التي يأخذونها بها. وفي هذا اليوم، فعلنا.
