AlGhala Al Shatti doesn’t need anyone to tell her she is strong. She has spent her entire athletic career proving it.
At 18, AlGhala is a weightlifting champion with dwarfism — a condition the world too often uses to define what a person can achieve. AlGhala has spent years quietly dismantling that assumption. Championship after championship, she has stood on the platform and lifted what others said she could not.
Her dream was not to win another medal. It was to be seen — to have her achievements recognised by her university, KTECH.
We worked with KTECH to organise a ceremony honouring AlGhala in front of her peers and faculty. She was celebrated not despite her condition, but because of the remarkable athlete she has chosen to become. And KTECH offered to officially sponsor AlGhala in all her future championship participations.
AlGhala came that day hoping to be acknowledged. She left knowing she had a community behind her.
