To dream of acting is to dream of being part of a story. For Mijbel, that story finally opened its door.
Mijbel Al Azmi lives with Down syndrome and dreams of becoming an actor. Like so many people who love the screen, he does not simply watch performances — he imagines himself inside them.
His wish was to experience what it feels like to stand in front of the camera, to be part of a real production, and to hear the words that make a set come alive.
Omnia partnered with director Manaf Abdal Manaf, who gave Mijbel a small role in one of the scenes of his upcoming show.
It may have been a brief role on paper, but its meaning was much bigger. For Mijbel, it was proof that his dream is not distant or abstract. It belongs to the real world, and he can stand inside it.
Some moments matter because they last. Others matter because they begin something. For Mijbel, this was a beginning.
